Matthew had a brilliant idea to watch the sunset and do some stargazing at Haleakala. It was very overcast when we left, but we were not going to be deterred. The clouds were not going to be an issue after all because we ended above them on the summit.
Once the sun set the telescope went to work.
We had fun stargazing but we decided the moon was too bright; we could see our shadows when we were walking around (plus side, we didn't need flashlights). Drats, guess we're going to have to go again.
